Extrakare provides a limited amount of equipment for short term rentals to patients visiting the Atlanta area.  Our services include:

• Travel oxygen
• Wheelchair rentals
• Walker rentals
• Hospital bed rentals.

Other services may be arranged in advance by calling Extrakare Customer Service.

Patients may receive their rental equipment by picking it up from our Norcross, GA office, we will deliver it to any location in our service area or we will meet the patient at any of the major Atlanta area airports.  We require a minimum of 48 hours notice of any short term rental.

All rentals for travel oxygen require a current prescription from your physician indicating the following: 

1. Current date: The prescription must be less than 90 days old.
2. Flow rate: This is liters per minute of oxygen you should receive.
3. Conserved or continuous flow: Most portable oxygen users can use an oxygen conserver.  This device allows the oxygen in a cylinder to last longer.  Your physician must specify if you can use an oxygen concentrator.

We do not bill insurance companies or Medicare for short term rentals.  We only accept payment in cash at the time products are delivered, unless payment has been made via credit card in advance.  We provide a detailed receipt for all services rendered so you may be able to file a claim with your insurance company for reimbursement.  Please check with your insurance company for details.  We require a deposit on some items.
