Delivery Technician
Extrakare
is a leading local HME company with local
management and ownership. We are a
respiratory-focused, full-line durable medical
equipment provider. We are based in Norcross, GA
and serve the following counties: Cherokee,
Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Fayette, Forysth, Fulton,
Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Newton, Paulding &
Rockdale. We are a high-growth organization and

employees.
We seek a delivery
technician to deliver oxygen systems,
wheelchairs, hospital beds and other home
medical equipment to patients’ homes. Normal
working hours are 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Tuesday
through Friday and 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on
Saturday. Some overtime and on-call hours are
required from time to time. We provide a
delivery vehicle (our fleet is comprised of
Dodge Sprinter vans). Candidates do not need a
CDL but must successfully complete a
pre-employment drug screen, criminal background
investigation and driver history inquiry.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old when
they apply for the position. Candidates must
have no visible tattoos or body piercing and
hair must be neatly groomed. The position will
not have a specific route or territory but will
be more than 50% on the south side of Atlanta.
The primary
responsibilities in this position are:

Deliver and
pick-up medical equipment from patients’
homes.

Recommend
add-on products for patients to purchase at
time of delivery.

Train patients
on proper use of medical equipment.

Service and
repair medical equipment.

Organize and
maintain warehouse inventory.

Coordinate
vehicle maintenance.
All candidates
should have the following experiences and
skills:
-
1+ year of
experience delivering and/or servicing
medical equipment.

Superior
verbal communication skills in English.

Good
record-keeping skills.

Basic computer
skills to enter delivery information.

Must be able
to lift 75+ pounds unassisted on a regular
basis.

Must have a
valid driver’s license.

High school
diploma or equivalent.
In addition to the
job requirements above, the ideal candidate will
also have the following preferred experiences:
-
2+ years of
HME delivery experience.

Valid CDL.
-
Fluency in
Spanish.
-
Associate or
higher degree.
Drivers are provided with a
mobile telephone for business use. All
